Help Sakshi Achieve Her Dreams: From Village to Career in Finance
My name is Sakshi Sharma and I come from a humble farming family in a small village in Udhampur district, Jammu & Kashmir.
My journey has been shaped by determination, hard work, and the unwavering support of my father, who left home at 14 to work as a driver in Jammu, earning just 200 rupees per month. Despite our financial challenges, my father's dedication ensured that I received an education.
I am proud to say that I was the first in my family to complete higher secondary education. In 2018, I graduated from Kendriya Vidyalaya No. 1 Gandhi Nagar with an impressive 81.2% in commerce. My journey didn't stop there. I pursued a B.Com degree at Govt. S.P.M.R College of Commerce, Jammu, and graduated in 2023.
During college, I joined the National Cadet Corps (NCC), which transformed my life. I represented the Jammu Kashmir Directorate at the Republic Day Camp in Delhi and was honored as Best Overall Performer at the Indian Naval Academy in Kerala. NCC taught me that "the sky is the limit" and now, I am ready to aim higher. I have been accepted into the prestigious Arun Jaitley National Institute of Financial Management in Faridabad to pursue an MBA in Finance. I secured my admission through the CUET PG entrance exam, followed by group discussions and personal interviews.
